Bury Manor Pre-School

In September 2014, Dorset House invited Tracey Brooks, of Cootham Pre-School, to open a setting on our site and so Bury Manor Pre-School opened its doors to children aged 2 – 5 years.  Children at the Pre-School enjoy complete access to the incredible grounds that Dorset House has to offer. 

During its first Ofsted inspection, this setting received an `Outstanding’ rating and anyone who visits will be able to see why.  The report states that the staff have excellent knowledge of how the children learn and develop and that they enjoy highly stimulating and challenging experiences.  It goes on to say that the children’s behaviour is exemplary. 

The Pre-School is situated in the Pre-Prep building in a new purpose-built room with its own outside space and, whilst independent of Dorset House School, the Pre-School works very closely with the Headmaster and all staff, enjoying a shared ethos.
