School Life

The overarching principle regarding life at Dorset House School is, `To Be the Best You Can Be’. This applies to children and staff and we are not ashamed of our ambition for our pupils. In all areas of school life, we encourage them to make the most of the opportunities on offer whilst looking after their well being.
We aim for pupils to move on to senior school at 13 as healthy, resilient and confident young people – ready for the next stage of their school life, with a passion for learning, independence of thought and enthusiasm for applying knowledge. Many win scholarships and awards to a wide range of senior schools and many are given positions of responsibility such as Heads of House or Heads of School by the time they reach Sixth Form.
