At Dorset House, we aim to provide a magical prep school experience for our pupils in an environment where children are engaged, enthused and inspired. We are often described as a greenhouse not a hot house and we find that pupils grow in confidence in our high challenge/low threat atmosphere.
Our committed and talented staff foster close links between home and school and we know every child well, meaning that we are aware of any successes achieved or issues they are facing.
Our optional flexi and weekly boarding for our Prep children, promote independence.

Year 5 and Year 6 Cross Country Success!
Our Year 5 boys and girls competed brilliantly in the Southern Area Cross Country Finals this morning @windleshamhouse with over 100 runners in each race.
The Year 5 girls finished first overall in the team event, with Edie, Ottilie, and Lottie all qualifying for the County Finals. The Year 5 boys followed this with an excellent performance of their own, finishing second overall, and securing County Finals places for Henry, Noah, and Seb.
This afternoon, the Year 6 girls added to the school’s success with a superb effort- Lily (pictured on the left in the insert) has also qualified for the County Finals.
What a fantastic day of running! Well done to everyone who took part on such a cold day.

Our new Headmistress took the brief seriously and led the way on the dance floor.
Thanks to our wonderful PA team who organised the fun, painted faces and served snacks.

The calm after the storm...
We are so pleased to see the sun this morning but don`t be fooled by the peace and quiet on this side of the school as the day begins.
If you walked through the archway, you would find children busy with music practice or Pre-Preppers working in their Read, Write, Inc. groups and even the `Ladies who Lift` - a group of hardy parents who enjoy their weekly training session with Miss Fentiman.
This afternoon, seven teams from the Prep will meet children from @westbournehouseschool @shorehamcollege,, @oakwoodschoolchichester @aldroschool, @pennthorpeschool and @st_philips_arundel for matches.
