At Dorset House, we aim to provide a magical prep school experience for our pupils in an environment where children are engaged, enthused and inspired. We are often described as a greenhouse not a hot house and we find that pupils grow in confidence in our high challenge/low threat atmosphere.

Our committed and talented staff foster close links between home and school and we know every child well, meaning that we are aware of any successes achieved or issues they are facing.

Our optional flexi and weekly boarding for our Prep children, promote independence.

Last week, 11 DH children in Years 5 & 7 enjoyed a wonderful Orchestral Day at sunny @lancing_college 🎺🎻

Following an initial full rehearsal, the children enjoyed a superb lunch, with the tacos and chocolate pots proving especially popular, before spending time on the Chapel lawns with bubble wands ahead of their sectional rehearsals.

The day concluded with a fantastic performance for parents in the Chapel, where sunlight streamed through the stained glass windows onto our happy musicians.

Pieces performed included:
🎶 Jacques Offenbach – Can Can
🎶 L.B. Curtis – Mary Jane
🎶 One Note Samba
🎶 Schubert – Symphony No. 3, Movement 2

A brilliant afternoon of athletics at @hurstsport earlier this week for our Year 5, 7 & 8 girls, competing against 15 other schools.

The girls represented the school superbly, showing great determination, encouragement and team spirit throughout the competition.

Special mentions go to Edie for winning the 600m in an impressive time and to our fantastic Year 5 relay team who powered through to win their heat.

Follow along to see the wide variety of sports, activities and competitions the children at DH take part in throughout the year, with such enthusiasm, enjoyment and fantastic achievements, all whilst developing a genuine love of sport. 🏏🏇⛳️
