Hardy bulbs and hardy children!

Year 2 fought the rain to plant their daffodil bulbs outside Champs.  We got into our muddy puddles and ventured out into the rain with our trowels to plant some lovely daffodil bulbs.  We have been learning about how plants grow from a variety of seeds and after cutting open a daffodil bulb we noticed it had a lot of layers (more formally known as scales).  We also identified the bud, tunic (outer protective layers) and roots.  We are also growing pea shoots, herbs, sunflowers and cress in our classroom. No one complained about the rain as they were so excited to plant some more bulbs.
