A busy evening...

While the Year 2 and 3 children were stunning the audience in the amphitheatre yesterday evening, Years 4 - 6 were sweeping the board at Prebendal.

All our athletes performed brilliantly but most notable was Alice Crowley who won the U10 Hurdles, Charlie Manger won the U12 Hurdles, Sean Scrase and Ella Lawson won the U10 600m and Tom Saunders and Jenna Jackson both won the U12 800m. In the sprints, Ben Saunders and Phoebe Hughes won the U10 75m and Hugo Ormerod won the U12 100m. DH dominated the relays with wins in the Year 4 girls and boys 4x 100m and the year 6 boys also collected the gold medal. In the field events, Ben Saunders and Phoebe Hughes both won the U10 long jump and Benji Jackson won the U12 long jump. A great evening of athletics and a huge well done to everyone involved!

Mary Rose

Year 4 visited the Mary Rose museum. They were able to handle artefacts, try on Tudor costumes and discover what life was like on board Henry VIII’s flagship. They used 16th century maps to plan defences for Portsmouth against the French and enjoyed learning how to load and fire one of the breech guns.
