Yesterday the Year 2 girls joined Years 3 and 4 for a Games session.
The Year 2s have been working hard on their basic netball skills during their own games lessons so were really excited to have the opportunity to play matches with the older girls. Everyone had great fun trying out new and different positions and the Year 2s really impressed with their skills and passing. They really gave the older girls a run for their money!!
Well done to the U9 team who won their first contact match against Great Ballard today. They then went on to lose a close game to Westbourne A team 2-0 before beating Westbourne B team 7-0.
The team displayed great enthusiasm and passion as well as putting in some great tackles. The tackler of the day was Charles Woodage (who will wear the tackling garter in the next match!)
Cosmo Portman and Monty Burr deserve a special mention as they both scored on their debuts in the team – a year young.
