WELCOME TO Dorset House School
"...this is a school that really does empower"
(Tatler Schools Guide)

Welcome
At Dorset House, we aim to provide a magical prep school experience for our pupils in an environment where children are engaged, enthused and inspired. We are often described as a greenhouse not a hot house and we find that pupils grow in confidence in our high challenge/low threat atmosphere.
Our committed and talented staff foster close links between home and school and we know every child well, meaning that we are aware of any successes achieved or issues they are facing.
Our optional flexi and weekly boarding for our Prep children, promote independence.
Happy, confident – not arrogant young people, who can relate to and communicate with others – Dorset House children often win awards and scholarships to senior schools and regularly going on to hold positions of responsibility.
Prospective parents often comment on the warmth of this school and if that is something which is important to your family, please call to make an appointment to visit us. We look forward to meeting you.

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back for the summer term tomorrow but in the meantime, wanted to let you know that we will be setting up our stand at the Parham Races & Family Fun Day on Saturday.
Please come and say `hello`.
It is always good to see current, past and future parents and friends of the school at this event.
Good luck to everyone taking part - especially to those entering the pony races which we are sponsoring!

Double congratulations to Lucas in Year 8!
He has been awarded not one, but two scholarships to @lancing_college College:
The Melsome Academic Scholarship (2nd highest award) and
An Art Scholarship.
Well done, Lucas - we are all so proud of your achievement and we know how much work went into the preparation for theses awards.
Thanks to our academic staff and to Mrs Harrison for all her encouragement with Lucas` art throughout his time at DH.

We do love tradition at DH and so it is no surprise that we adhere to the rules of the British Teatime Alarm. Last week, it interrupted assembly.
